This safety inspection includes, testing for any gas leaks on the gas pipe work. Testing and inspecting any gas boilers, gas fires, gas wall heaters and gas cookers.

We test that all the Flues are in correct working order and that the appliances are in a safe condition.

We carry out Land Lord gas safety inspections  for both private land lords and Property agents.

At this property we first had to remove the old gravity fed cylinder and tanks. We altered the pipe work leaving no unused pipes in the cylinder cupboard, installed thermostatic radiator valves and a wireless room stat ensuring that the installation complies to the energy efficiency standards.

We  installed a magna clean system as the customer kept their existing radiators from the previous heating system. We also power flushed the system, ensuring maximum radiator efficiency and prolonging the life of the boiler.

We then installed and commissioned the boiler. This job took about two days to complete.

This job involved taking out an old coal fire and surround, then knocking out the builders opening and  installing a lintel.  We then arranged for the chimney to be swept. After that we had to drop a  metal flue liner down from the roof  to connect  the flue to the stove and  install the correct cowl on the top of the chimney.

We  then plastered the whole chimney breast and tiled the hearth, then finally installed the stove.

The job in total took  three days and we removed a skip full of rubble  from the old fire.
